LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University Athletics officially announced Chase Damewood as the next Coordinator of Athletic Events on Tuesday, August 9th.

"I'm really excited to welcome Chase to our team." said Barry Fried, Viterbo Director of Athletics. "The skills and experiences he brings to the table are exactly what we were looking for in this position. I know he's ready to dive into this job and I think he'll be a great fit."

Damewood earned an Associates of Arts Degree from Kirkwood Community College in 2018, a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Communications from Coe College in 2020, and his Master's Degree in Strategic Leadership from Mount Mercy University in 2022.

Damewood's prior experiences also include a compliance internship at the University of Northern Iowa, Assistant Football Coaching jobs at Coe College and John F. Kennedy Highschool, and serving as a member of the student leadership council at Kirkwood Community College.

"I first want to thank Barry Fried and the rest of the team at Viterbo University for giving me this great opportunity." Said Damewood. "I am extremely excited to get the ball rolling this fall! With the help of the entire team, I can't wait to create the best home field/court advantage in the conference."

Damewood is set to take over his duties on August 16th.
