McDonough Places 15th at Nationals in the Half-Marathon
GULF SHORES, Ala. – Viterbo University Sophomore Brenna McDonough placed 15th in the Half-Marathon at the NAIA National Track and Field Championships on May 27 with a time of 1:33:06.86.
McDonough competed in her first collegiate half-marathon on March 12 at the 2022 Midland Spring Half Marathon in Fremont, Neb., where she ran a 1:30:24. This time was good enough to earn her NAIA "B" Standard, as well as being the third best half-marathon time in program history.
At the National Meet, McDonough was seeded to finish 29th, but crushed that predication by coming in 15th, which was the best any Viterbo runner has placed at the National Meet in the Marathon/Half-Marathon events.
