Five V-Hawks Named All-Americans

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association has officially announced the 2023 Women's Volleyball All-American teams and five V-Hawks have been recognized on the national level.

The NAIA All-America teams are selected by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee.. The pool of candidates comes from the All-Conference/CAC teams.

Kenzie Winker, Sr., OH – Winker earns the third All-America nod of her career, making the First-Team after being Second-Team in 2022 and Third-Team in 2021. She recorded the fourth most kills in the NAIA this season at 557 (4.07/set) while hitting .217, and added 367 digs, 756 receptions, 62 blocks (14 solo), 30 assists, and 20 service aces. She is the seventh V-Hawk to be named to the All-American First-Team, and the first since Miah Garant in 2021. This caps her extremely successful final season in which she was also named the conference and region Player of the Year.

Jada Mitchell, So., MH – Mitchell collects the second straight Second-Team selection of her career. She recorded 391 kills (2.85/set) while hitting .358, the 10th most efficient percentage in the NAIA. She was also 11th in total blocks with 142 (24 solo) and added 21 digs and three assists. This adds to her conference and region Offensive Player of the Year awards in 2023.

Grace Rohde, Jr., OH – After being named All-America Honorable Mention in 2022, Rohde improved to earn her first Second-Team selection in 2022. Her 507 kills (3.67/set, .225 hitting percentage) was the 12th most in the NAIA, and she also recorded 416 digs and 779 receptions. Rohde posted 49 total blocks (six solo), 39 service aces, and 14 assists.

Martina McGrath, Jr., MH – Earned her first national honor, being named an All-America Honorable Mention following a season in which she recorded 307 kills on .36 hitting, 130 total blocks, 42 digs and five assists. This year, she was also named to the All-Conference and All-Region First-Teams.

Kenidi McCabe, Jr., DS – McCabe is the final All-American performer for the V-Hawks, being named honorable mention. She recorded the seventh most digs and receptions in the entire NAIA, 690 and 831, respectively, as well as 122 assists and 34 service errors.

Winker, Mitchell, and Rohde were all also named to the respective NAIA All-American teams.
