Newbauer Reaches Third Round of Singles Championships

JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. – The Viterbo University Women's Bowling team's season officially came to an end on Wednesday as Emily Newbauer completed competition at the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships.

Newbauer lost in round three of the Women's Match Play bracket, 668-584 to Sara Duque of Wichita State. In round two, she defeated Maya Avilez of North Carolina S&T, 556-531. She received a first round bye for her performance in the qualifying games.

Newbauer finishes the season tied as the fifth ranked bowler in the country.
