Three V-Hawks Collect Gold ON NSAA Championships Day One

MADISON, SD – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships are underway at Dakota State University. The Viterbo Men's Track team is currently in third place out of six teams with 61 points.

Dakota State (SD) leads the way with 136 points, and Dickinson State (ND) is in second with 62.

Three different V-Hawks earned gold medals on the day. Jalen Anderson was the top performer in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.53, Brayden Bradway won the pole vault, and broke the Viterbo school record, clearing 4.40m (14'5.25"), and Gabe Holderby topped the Javelin throw with a toss of 53.43m (175'3").

Avin Smith scored in all three of his events, taking second in the Javelin with a throw of 48.26m (158'4"), third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.01, and fifth in the 110 hurdles at 15.66 seconds.

Ben Olson joined him in the 400, taking fifth with a time of 51.61, and the Javelin, with a mark of 39.7m (130'3").

Brandon Ferguson took fourth in the 11o hurdles with a time of 15.33 seconds, and Nicolas Vollmar was sixth in the pole vault, clearing 3.50m (11'5.75").
