Holderby Earns Gold at Mankato State

MANKATO, Minn. – The Viterbo University Men's Trak and Field team took eighth place out of 12 teams at the Mankato State Minnesota Open on Saturday with 20.5 team points.

Mankato State claimed the team title with 295.5 points.

Jalen Anderson reached recorded an NAIA A Standard time and Viterbo record time of 14.27 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, earning him second place. Brandon Ferguson also scored in the event, taking eighth with a time of 15.75 seconds.

Gabe Holderby took home the gold medal in the Javelin, with a throw of 54.27m (178'1").

Brayden Bradway was the final scorer for the V-Hawks, taking seventh in the pole vault, clearing 4.04m (13'3"). Dominic Marken also earned a top-10 finish in the long jump with  leap of 6.02m (19'9") for ninth place.

The V-Hawks return to action on April 19 and 20 at the UW-La Crosse Phil Etsen Challenge.
