Five V-Hawks Earn Medals at Norse Invitational

DECORAH, Iowa - The Viterbo University Men's Outdoor Track and Field team competed at the Luther College (Iowa) Norse Invitational on Saturday. The V-Hawks finished eighth place out of 11 scoring teams with 35 points.

Justin Moore captured the individual title in the long jump with a leap of 7.16m (23-06.00), good enough for NAIA "B" Standard, qualifying him for the National Meet.

Gabe Holderby would earn a silver medal in the javelin throw with a personal best throw of 52.15m (171-01), and Colin Adams would take second place in the high jump as he cleared 1.85m (6-00.75).

Jalen Anderson had the best performance on the track, taking third place in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 50.45 seconds.

Nicolas Vollmar was the final scorer for the V-Hawks, as he cleared 3.60m (11-09.75) in the pole vault to take fifth place.

The V-Hawks return to action on Friday, April 21 at the UWL Phil Etsen Challenge.
