Viterbo Places Seventh at Iowa Central Spring Invite

FORT DODGE, Iowa- The Viterbo University Men's Golf team competed at the Iowa Central Spring Invite this past week, where the team took 7th out of 12th place with a total score of 618 (+50) over two rounds.

Morningside University (Iowa) won the invite with a total score of 593 (+25), while Colby Ramsdale of Iowa Central CC took first place for individuals with a total score of 143, just one over par. 

Nick Tennis was the top golfer for the V-Hawks shooting a total score of 151 (+9), which placed him in 13th out of 71 golfers for the invite. Ben Biskupski and Owen Bernstorf followed closely behind their teammate, both shooting total scores of 154 (+12), tying the two for 22nd place. Ethan Thomas kept the ball rolling to receive 33rd place while shooting a total score of 159 (+17). Alex Samolinski was the fifth golfer for Viterbo, and he tied for 60th place with a total score of 170 (+28). 

The V-Hawks were able to bring four individuals to golf at the invite. Andy Odom was the first individual for Viterbo, and he brought in a total score of 164 (+22) which resulted in a tie for 47th place. Following just ten strokes behind was Noah Nelson, who shot a total score of 174 (+32) and placed 65th. Gabe Rombalski placed 70th with a total score of 185 (+43). Jackson Schuh was the final competitor for Viterbo individuals, and he brought in a total score of 193 (+51) which placed him in 71st

The Viterbo Men's Golf team will return to the tee box on Monday, April 29 for the NSAA Championship conference meet hosted by Viterbo at Cedar Creek Golf Club.
