V-Hawks edge Raiders in non-conference match-up

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Viterbo Men's Basketball team (6-8) faced off against the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders (5-6) on Thursday night. The V-Hawks came out with a close 61-58 victory. Robert Cunitz led all players with 18 points, shooting 50 percent from the field while also collecting two steals and two blocks. Noah Fredrickson followed with 13 points off the bench for the V-Hawks, adding six rebounds and five assists. Nicholas Malovrh added another 11 points and three rebounds for Viterbo. The Raiders edged the V-Hawks in nearly every category; however, the V-Hawks were able to capitalize on their opponent's errors, scoring 17 points off of turnovers, which was a difference maker in the game. The V-Hawks will return to NSAA play on January 7 as they travel to Aberdeen, S.D. to face the Saints of Presentation College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM CST.
