Men's Basketball drops second game of Gundersen Hotel and Suites Invitational

LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Viterbo University Men's Basketball team hosted College of the Ozarks in their second game of the Gundersen Hotel and Suites Viterbo Invitational on Saturday. The V-Hawks were defeated, 64-76.

Viterbo got the early 4-0 lead after two Jack Monis baskets. The Bobcats regained the lead and went into the locker room leading 34-30. The V-Hawks came out of halftime hot, converting three straight baskets, including a Monis and-one and a Robert Cunitz three-pointer. A Brady Polk jumper put the V-Hawks up six with 17 minutes remaining but that would be their largest lead of the game. College of the Ozarks regained the lead for good after a series of threes with seven minutes remaining in regulation.

Monis led the team in points with 17 and also contributed a team-high seven rebounds. Polk finished the day with 12 points and six rebounds. Nicholas Malovrh recorded nine points and six rebounds.

The V-Hawks will remain home for their final game of November on Tuesday against Wis.-Whitewater. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. CST. Follow the action on viterboathletics.com or by following us on social media.
