LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's basketball team (10-1) continued its Midwest trip against Viterbo University (Wis.) (5-7) on Saturday, December 16.

With the game tied at 55-55, Trent Koning found a wide-open Beau Ludwick on the perimeter. Ludwick confidently put up the shot and drained it as time expired to give MVNU the 58-55 victory on the road.

It was a close game from the start as there were 11 ties and 17 total lead changes.

It was a defensive battle as both teams shot under 40% from the floor and 30% from three. MVNU shot 35.4% and 28.6% while Viterbo shot 31.8% and 26.3%.

MVNU outrebounded the hosts 40-38.

MVNU heads to Davenport, Iowa in search of its seventh win in a row on Monday, December 18. Tipoff at St. Ambrose is set for 4:00pm EST.
