Men’s Volleyball picks up weekend win against Viterbo

Whiting, IN - The Calumet College Men's Volleyball team finished their home stretch week by hosting Viterbo on Saturday. The Crimson Wave picked up a 3-0 win after taking a tough 3-1 loss to Olivet Nazarene on Thursday. 

CCSJ cut it close in the 1st set, narrowly winning 25-21 with 16 kills and 7 errors. In the 2nd set, the Crimson Wave kept the VHawks to only 14 points in their 25-14 win, making 14 kills and just 3 errors. In the 3rd and final set, CCSJ won 25-18 with 10 kills and 5 errors to mark the 3-0 win.

Pedro Castillo led the Wave with 14 kills, 7 assists, 8 digs, and 2 blocks. Francis Hauze had 12 kills with 6 service aces, 8 digs, and 5 blocks. Diego Esquivel had 7 kills with 2 assists, 2 service aces, 4 digs, and 3 blocks. 

The Crimson Wave is back home at The Ritt. on Tuesday at 7 PM to take on Trinity International.
