Men's Volleyball win 3-2 over Viterbo

Last night the Calumet College Men's Volleyball team hosted Viterbo University in their second CCAC match of the week, and in another thrilling 5 sets, the Crimson Wave finished the night with a 3-2 win. 

The Crimson Wave got ahead of the Viterbo in the 1st Set and maintained a two-point lead over the V-Hawks all the way to the final score of 25-23.  In Set 2, the Crimson Wave had to start from behind, but quickly recovered and took the lead over Viterbo to win the set 25-22. Viterbo took the lead in the 3rd Set, the Crimson Wave quickly caught up to the V-Hawks, but the rest of the game was point-for-point and ended with Viterbo winning the set 30-28 and forcing a 4th set. The Crimson Wave again had to start from behind in the 4th set, but soon after caught up to the V-Hawks, but slowly lost their tie and Viterbo won the set 25-20. In the 5th and final Set, the Crimson Wave started off ahead, slowly increasing their lead, but a string of points for Viterbo caught them up to the Wave to make it a 16-16 game. From there, the Crimson Wave got ahead just enough to get the win 20-18 and finish the night with another 3-2 win over Viterbo. 

Francis Hauze led the Crimson Wave with 21 kills and 13 digs, Gianluca Righetto was close behind with 19 kills, 1 service ace, 5 digs, and 1 block, and Pedro Castillo had 16 kills with 7 assists, 20 digs, and 7 blocks. 

The Crimson Wave's next match up is on Saturday, at The Ritt, as they host Maranatha Baptist at noon.
