Meade Selected to Lead Viterbo Women’s Golf Program
LA CROSSE, Wis. - Viterbo University has announced the hiring of Lexi Meade as their new head women's golf coach.
"I'm excited to welcome Lexi to our Viterbo family," said Viterbo Athletics Director, Barry Fried. "During the interview process, her passion for the sport and desire to help student-athletes develop on and off the golf course was very evident. She has a vision for our program, and I think our women's golf program will continue to blossom under Lexi's leadership."
Meade comes to Viterbo following an outstanding collegiate playing career at UW-Eau Claire and UW-Green Bay. She was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Player of the Year twice while at UW-Eau Claire and served as team captain.
Following Eau Claire, she earned an NCAA Division I scholarship to play golf at UW-Green Bay, where she went on to earn a Top 10 finish in the Horizon League, while also being named to the all-conference academic team.
During her tenure as a collegiate golfer, the Eau Claire, WI native, also served as private golf instructor for several individuals and organizations.
"I am beyond excited to join the V-Hawk family," stated Meade. "Both the athletic department and the university as a whole present an ideal professional fit, and I look forward to making an impact on and off the course. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the members of the Viterbo community I have met so far, and especially to Director of Athletics Barry Fried for this wonderful opportunity."
Meade earned her Master of Science in Sport, Exercise & Performance Psychology from UW-Green Bay. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in English from UW-Eau Claire, while earning Summa Cum Laude honors.
Meade will officially begin on July 1, 2025.
