Viterbo Seals Post Season

GARY, Ind. – The Viterbo University Women's Basketball fell in their final regular season game at Indiana University Northwest Saturday afternoon 80-60. The V-Hawks finish 15-13 (CCAC 8-12) while the Red Hawks  sit at 22-6 (CCAC 16-4).

The V-Hawks held to two from an Olivia Lambrigtsen layup until Emily McCurdy, Carly Drew, and Nora Tucker would hit the 10 point mark, Gabby Fors dishing Tucker the assist with 16 seconds to go.

Aubrey Dorn would hit two jumpers followed by Pearla Teko-Folly hitting three of her own to close the gap. With less than three minutes to go in the half Dorn would find Marley Huges for the three.

Viterbo looking to take over in the lead would go on a seven point run, Lambrigtsen scoring the first five, before McCurdy would score the next four. McCurdy working around the arc would hit the three before Dorn would take the jumper before the clock ran out.

Hughes finding Drew open for the jumper would then drive for her own layup before McCurdy would take to the paint and claim the and one off her own rebound. Taking to the free throw line McCurdy, Stellner, and Fors would score the final points of the regular season.

McCurdy led the V-Hawks with 13 points, Johnson with eight rebounds. Jessica Carrothers led the Red Hawks with 37.

The V-Hawks were outshot from the floor 47.6% to 37.7%, from three 39.1% to 25%, though outrebounded 39-29

The V-Hawks return to action Wednesday February 26^th for the first round of the conference tournament.
