V-Hawks Fall to Titans

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Viterbo University Women's Basketball fell to Indiana University-South Bend 65-57 on Saturday afternoon. The V-Hawks fall to 14-12 (CCAC 7-11) while the Titans rise to 18-7 (CCAC 11-7).

Nicole Johnson ending the slow start for the V-Hawks with a free throw followed by a layup by Lauryn Goettl. Carly Drew to score the next five points before Macy Stellner would pull up for a jumper then dish the assist to Olivia Lambrigtsen.

The V-Hawks ready on the offensive in the second quarter with a 13 point run, followed by a Emily McCurdy layup. The Titans claiming the final four points of the half.

Marley Hughes with the layup a free throws would keep the V-Hawks up early in the third. Lamrightsen ending a scoring drought with a jumper and a steal for Aubrey Dorn, though IUSB would continue to dominate the quarter.

Viterbo falling behind early in the fourth would find Drew with a jumper and a three both from Stellner. Down by one Stellner would take to the paint for the layup but the Titans would shut down scoring for the rest of the game.

Drew led the V-Hawks with 15, while Hughes and Stellner led in assists with 4 each. Keylee Hudson led the Titans with 17.  

The V-Hawks outshot the Titans from the floor 37.3% to 36.7% and three 33.3% to  27.3%.

The V-Hawks return to action Wednesday February 19^th at home for senior night.
