DICKINSON, ND – The Viterbo University Softball team’s season came to an end on Saturday night with a 5-8 loss to Dickinson State University (ND) in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) tournament. The V-Hawks end the season at 18-28 while the Blue Hawks look forward to a matchup with Dakota State University (SD).

Viterbo Claims Victory on Senior Day

LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Viterbo University Softball team celebrated Senior Day on their last regular season home game on Sunday. The V-Hawks battled the Waldorf University Warriors in a single game and brought home the win 3-2 in an 8 inning game. Viterbo ends the regular season with a record of 17-26 overall (11-16 NSAA) while the Warriors end their season 13-28 (6-15 NSAA).
Viterbo Takes Two Games From Presentation in Tripleheader

ONALASKA, Wis. – The Viterbo University Softball team went 2-1 in a tripleheader against Presentation College (SD) to start their final regular season series of the 2023 season. VU took the first game 6-1, the second game 10-2 in six innings, and PC took the third game 3-6. The V-Hawks now sit at 16-26 (10-16 NSAA), while the Saints hold an 11-26 (7-16 NSAA) record.

James Selected as NSAA Player of the Week

BISMARK, ND – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has officially announced the eighth edition of the Softball Players of the Week Honors, and Viterbo’s Morgan James was selected as the Player of the Week. She was chosen alongside Lauren Jurek of Bellevue (Neb.) as the Pitcher-of-the-Week. This is James’ first time receiving this award.

SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Viterbo University Softball team went 1-2 against Dakota State University (SD) in a tripleheader on Sunday afternoon. The series was moved from Madison, SD to the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls, SD and was changed to a three-game series due to weather conditions. Viterbo won the first game 10-4, then lost the second game 20-27 and the third 10-16. The V-Hawks now sit at 10-23 (6-13 NSAA) while the Trojans hold a 12-21 (11-6 NSAA) record.

LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Viterbo University Softball team traveled to Iowa to battle the Waldorf University Warriors in a doubleheader matchup on Wednesday. The V-Hawks swept the Warriors with scores of 8-2 and 8-0. Viterbo rises to 9-21 overall (5-11 NSAA) while Waldorf drops to 11-18 overall (6-6 NSAA).
