Jim Socha Named Women's Golf Head Coach

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University has officially announced Jim Socha as the second Head Women’s Golf Coach in school history. Socha will succeed Ken Barrett, following his 16 years of service that began with the V-Hawks inaugural season in 2007.
Three V-Hawks Earn All-NSAA as V-Hawks Take Fourth at Conference

BELLEVUE, Neb.- The Viterbo Men’s Golf team finished fourth out of six teams at the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) conference golf meet. The V-Hawks completed the first day with a score of 349 and improved their score to 336 on the second day. The team was 17 strokes behind Waldorf (IOWA) for third place, and 95 strokes ahead of Valley City State (ND) for fifth place.
Bernstorf Leads V-Hawks at Verhille Invitational

IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Viterbo University Men's Golf team competed in the Mount Mercy University (Iowa) Verhille Invitational this week. The V-Hawks finished in 11th place out of 14 teams with a score of score of 646. VU was in 12th after Day 1, shooting 328, and improved by 10 strokes on Day 2 to move up to 11th.
Men's Golf Beats Clarke in Match Play

The Viterbo men's golf team beat Clarke 56.5 to 51.5 Wednesday in a match play event at the Golf Club at Cedar Creek in Onalaska, WI.
Tennis Named Golfer of the Week

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Nicholas Tennis, a senior on the Viterbo University Men’s Golf team, has been named the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Men’s Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. This is Tennis’ first time receiving this award.
Viterbo Hosts V-Hawk Invitational

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men’s Golf team hosted the V-Hawk Men’s Golf Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The V-Hawks finished in third place out of six teams with a team score of 329 after shooting 312 on Day 1 and 317 on Day 2. Kirkwood Community College (Iowa) was the event champions, shooting 596 (300, 296). Kolby Shackelford was the individual champions, posting an even 72 on both days for a total score of 144.
Viterbo Competes at Wrigglesworth Invitational

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men’s Golf team placed eighth out of 16 total teams at the UW-Eau Claire Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational this weekend. The V-Hawks scored 315 points on day one and 324 on day two for a total score of 639. They were four stokes ahead of UW-Stout (B) in ninth place, and 13 strokes behind Stout for seventh.
V-Hawks Compete at Clarke, Bernstorf Finishes Third

GALENA, Ill. – The Viterbo University Men’s Golf team finished in fifth place out of 11 teams at the Clarke University Fall Classic this weekend. The V-Hawks were tied for third place with Wheaton College after Day One, shooting 322, but slid to fifth on Day Two, shooting 327 for a total team score of 649, which is +73 over par.

GALENA, Ill. = The Viterbo University Men’s Golf Team placed seventh out of 17 teams at the Clarke University (Ill.) Fall Invite on Thursday night. The V-Hawks posted a score of 324 (+36), just two strokes behind Bryant and Stratton CC. Iowa Central CC won the event at 304 (+16).
