V-Hawks End Season on High Note, Defeat Calumet
LA CROSSE, Wis. -- The V-Hawks claimed victory over the Crimson Wave in their final competition of the 2025-26 season. The team was able to secure an 81-75 victory over the Crimson Wave, finalizing their record at 7-19 overall and 5-15 in the CCAC. With the loss, Calumet falls to 12-15 overall and 8-12 in the conference.
Offensively and defensively, the V-Hawks were led by Colin Adams. Adams put up a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. He shot 9-15 from the field and added one steal and one block as well. Carson Koepnick added ten points for the V-Hawks, while Jack Voigt, Jonah Ogunsanya, and Landon Thousand each added nine.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The V-Hawks took the early 10-6 lead
- The Crimson Wave fought back, but the V-hawks extended to 22-17 on Jonah Ogunsanya scoring
- The V-Hawks continued holding the edge at 27-22
- The V-Hawks found themselved tied at 27-27
- Jack Voigt scoring gave the V-Hawks a slight 29-28 lead
- The V-Hawks held the 31-28 lead
- Going into halftime, the V-Hawks were up 40-36
- Out of the half, the V-Hawks continued fighting, going up 50-44
- The team had their largest lead of the game on Colin Adams scoring at 58-48
- Kole Johnson extended the lead to 11 at 64-53
- Late in the half, the V-Hawks held a 69-60 lead
- The Crimson Wave attempted to fight back, but the V-Hawks held strong
- The V-Hawks claimed an 81-75 win
With this game, the V-Hawk men conclude their 2025-26 season. The V-Hawk Men's Basketball team and the V-Hawk Athletics Department thank Jonah Ogunsanya, Jake Watson, and Colin Adams on successful careers. The team will return in the fall of 2026.
