PAPILLION, Neb. -- The Viterbo University men's soccer team scored two second-half goals to give the V-Hawks a 2-0 shutout victory over Bellevue University Saturday evening at Papillion Landing.
With the loss, the Bruins fell to 4-10-3 on the season. Viterbo, who is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll, improved to 15-1-1 overall.
Neither team scored until Benian Yao found the back of the net two minutes into the second half to give the V-Hawks a 1-0 advantage.
Viterbo made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute with a goal by Polyzois Douvas.
Romeo Paparesta fell to 3-9-3 on the season, allowing two goals with six saves in 90 minutes in goal.
Luca Colombo picked up the win in goal, recording eight saves while giving Viterbo its 12th shutout of the season.
The Bruins will host Waldorf University on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 1:30 p.m. at Papillion Landing in the final regular-season home match of the 2022 campaign.
