Carly Drew and Nora Tucker Earn All-Conference Honors
CHICAGO, Illinois – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced their annual all-conference teams today. The first team is made up of five individuals, while the second team and honorable mention team are each made up of ten individuals, representing the best players in the conference.
The all-conference teams highlight the athletic achievements of those athletes on the list. From Viterbo, sophomore Carly Drew was selected as a Second Team All-Conference recipient. Junior Nora Tucker was selected as an Honorable Mention All-Conference recipient.
Carly Drew, So., Second Team All-CCAC – Sophomore Carly Drew out of Westfield, Wisconsin earns All-Conference honors for the second time in her career. Last season, Drew was named an Honorable Mention and was named to the CCAC All-Freshman team. This year, she improved to a Second Team recipient after another successful season. In 25 games and 21 starts, Carly Drew averaged 13 points per game, totaling 325 points this season. She shot at 41.7% from the field and drained 45 threes this year. Defensively, Drew picked up 105 rebounds and 34 assists to lead the V-Hawks to one of their best conference seasons in program history.
Nora Tucker, Jr., Honorable Mention All-CCAC – Junior Nora Tucker out of Bangor, Wisconsin earns All-Conference for the first time in her career. Throughout her three years at Viterbo, Nora Tucker continues to improve and shine. This season, Nora Tucker appeared and started in all 27 matches for the V-Hawks. Throughout those 27 games, Tucker averaged 10.6 points per game to total 286 points on the season. She shot at 43.5% from the field and drained 52 threes. Additionally, Tucker added 33 assists on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, Tucker contributed 87 rebounds, 26 steals, and one block to the V-Hawk efforts.
The V-Hawk women's basketball team finished 14-14 overall and ended up 12-8 in the conference. Their season ended in the CCAC Quarterfinals after a hard-fought battle against Indiana South Bend. The V-Hawks finished sixth in the CCAC.
