Women's Track Finishes Regular Season with Fourth Place Finish

RIPON, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field team traveled to Ripon College for the Dick Hendricks Invite on Saturday, finishing fourth place out of 11 teams with 85 team points. St. Norbert's College was the team Champions with 132 points.

Breanna Ihde captured two individual goal medals, one in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.83, and one in the 200-meter dash,, finishing in 26.32.

Overall, the V-Hawks dominated the 60-meter, with Lana Yeakel finishing second, closely behind her teammate at 8.87, Claudia Schunk was fifth at 8.14, and Jenna Norgel was eighth with a time of 8.36.

Schunk was also top five in the 200 behind Ihde, completing the race in 22.26.

Yeakel earned her second sliver medal of the day in the long jump with a leap of 5.39m (17-08.25), and Grace Peyron was fifth, jumping 5.17m (16-11.50).

Miranda Kendall was second in the high jump, clearing 1.55m (5-01.00), followed by Alexie Stephani and Ashley Veronen, who each cleared 1.50m (4-11.00). Stephani earned 3rd place over Veronen based on attempts.

Emma Johnson was the final podium finisher for Viterbo, with a third place performance in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.61, and her vault of 3.33m (10-11.00) eared her fourth.

The V-Hawks return to action on Saturday, February 19, at the North star Athletic Association (NSSA) indoor Championships.
