WHITING, Ind. – Viterbo University Women's Soccer team rolled past Calumet College of St Joseph Wednesday evening winning 11-0. The V-Hawks rise to 5-5 (CCAC 2-3-0) while the Crimson Wave fall to 0-5-0 (CCAC 0-5-0).
Evelyn Shaw started the shooting frenzy with a shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the game. Shortly after Brooke Clements would find her first goal of the game in the 5th minute. The scoring would continue as Maya Bubber's would find the back of the goal for the first time this season four minutes later. Shaw would start her scoring as her first goal of the game came in the 27th minute. To finish off the half Lauren Wedig would connect with Clements again to bring the lead to 4-0. The V-Hawks would dominate taking 31 shots in the first half to Calumets 0.
The V-Hawks would waste no time at the start of the half as Ashlee Tupper would shoot and score 2 minutes into the second half. Shaw would add two goals of her own as the half continued before Tupper would add another goal of her own. In the 71st minute Natalie Graham would look for a goal and find the back of the net recording her first goal of her collegiate career. To round out the scoring Ellie Hedges would also find the back of the net for the first time in her collegiate career with three minutes left in the half.
The V-Hawks return to the field this Saturday, October 9th at Judson University.
