Monis Selected to CSC First-Team Academic All-American
AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sport Communicators (CSC) have officially released their 2022-23 Academic All-America Men's Basketball teams. Jack Monis, a Senior on the Viterbo University Men's Basketball team, has been named First-Team Academic All-American. Cole Crubel and Robert Cunitz earned All-District Honors.
Monis, a who is studying Psychology, was voted by members of CSC from over 120 athletes to the First-Team for both his athletic and academic accomplishments. He currently holds a 3.92 GPA in his undergraduate career, and earned First-Team All-NSAA. He led the conference in scoring with 16.3 points/game, while adding 6.0 rebounds/game and a steal per game. This year he also moved into the top ten career scoring leaders in program history with 1472 points.
In order to be nominated for Academic All-America, athletes must be a starter or important reserve on their team, and hold a minimum 3.50 GPA. All nominated players earn All-District Honors.
